2 Armenians inured in disturbances at Moscow’s Manezh Square

PanARMENIAN.Net - 2 Armenians were injured in the disturbances at Moscow’s Manezh Square, the spokesman of the Armenian Embassy in Russia Gevorg Minasyan said.

In a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, he refused to divulge their names for safety reasons. As Minasyan noted, both Armenians were severely injured and are currently under medical control. Eleven criminal cases have been opened against Moscow Manezh Square rioters who have been charged mainly with rowdiness and intentional harm to people’s health. The city prosecutor’s office is now considering opening one more criminal case. Moscow’s justice of the peace will examine the cases of 20 persons detained after the mass riot of football fans in central Moscow on Saturday, December 11. They have been charged with failure to obey legitimate demands of police. The city police department said a number of right-wing radical groups, including the so-called Movement Against Illegal Immigration (DPNI), were involved in the riot, Itar Tass reported earlier.
