Res. 252 by the House of Representatives,” the Assembly said in a statement. Earlier this year, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Howard Berman (D-CA), passed H. Res. 252, the Armenian Genocide Resolution. This important human rights legislation was introduced by Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and George Radanovich (R-CA), along with Armenian Caucus Co-Chairs Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Mark Kirk (R-IL), and has garnered strong bi-partisan support with over 140 cosponsors. European Parliament urges EU member states to consider sanctions against those responsible for human rights violations.
