Mansour Haqiqatpour: current Azerbaijani state is established on Aran historical territory

PanARMENIAN.Net - Expert for Caucasus, ex-governor of Ardabil province of Iran Mansour Haqiqatpour said it is funny how Ilham Aliyev could proclaim himself as the leader of all Azerbaijanis in the world, when he has to govern his nation within the borders of his country through violence.

“The Azerbaijani leadership faces the crisis of illegality and similar statements of Aliyev are an evidence of problems and difficulties inside the country. Aliyev is unaware of historical facts and reality – according to sources, the current Azerbaijani state is created on Aran historical territory,” Mehr agency quoted Haqiqatpour as saying.

Member of the Iranian parliament Alaeddin Boroujerdi said for his part that such kinds of imaginations that cross the mind of Azerbaijani leaders are not new.

Boroujerdi said it is just a mere imagination that Iranian Azeris are led by a foreign official.

The Iranian Azerbaijanis are proud that they are Iranians, he stated.

Aliyev, in a message to congratulate the New Year, has called himself the leader of all Azeris in the world.
