Armenians request Swedish government to promote Genocide international recognition

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sweden hosted series of events to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

As the chairman of the Assembly of Armenians of Europe told PanARMENIAN.Net 300 people in Stockholm participated in a rally to commemorate Armenian Genocide victims. The event was followed by a liturgy in а church.

As he noted, last week, other cities in Sweden hosted similar events.

In April, Armenian community representatives met with Swedish parliamentarians, who significantly contributed to adoption of the Armenian Genocide resolution. The representatives requested the Swedish government to promote international recognition of Genocide, in accordance with the parliament’s decision.
