Google Camera app launched for Android devices

Google has launched its Google Camera app for all Android devices, Digital Spy said.

The software brings photography features, which were previously exclusive to Nexus hardware, to all users running Android 4.4 KitKat.

Key features include Photo Sphere, which enables users to capture panorama-like images with a 360-degree field of view, and Lens Blur.

The latter shooting mode helps users take photographs with a shallow depth-of-field, distorting everything in the frame bar the subject matter.

Both features were previously seen on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones, but are now available for all KitKat-powered devices.

Google Camera is available to download from Google Play.
