Georgia to introduce some visa requirements for Armenian citizens

Citizens of Armenia, who will visit Georgia for business or study, will need a visa for a long stay, the country’s Foreign Ministry said.

The amendments to the law on legal state of foreigners and people without citizenship will take effect starting September 1, 2014.

The Foreign Ministry explained the decision by the need to improve administration of migration processes, according to Vestnik Kavkaza.

The visas will be delivered at Georgia’s consulates abroad. It was not immediately clear which other countries will be affected by the new law.
