Samsung “developing Galaxy Grand Prime selfie-centric smartphone”

Samsung is reportedly developing a selfie-centric smartphone dubbed the Galaxy Grand Prime, Digital Spy said.

Photographs of the handset have been leaked by Vietnamese website thegioididong.com, along with purported specs details.

A 5-megapixel front-facing camera backed up by a range of software features is listed as the device's centrepiece, while an 8-megapixel snapper resides on the front.

Other rumoured specs include a 5-inch 540 x 960 display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a 2600 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Grand Prime faces competition from a growing number of selfie-focused smartphones, including the Nokia Lumia 735 and the Sony Xperia C3.

Release territories for the handset are yet to be revealed, but the report claims it will arrive in Vietnam next month with a price tag of 5 million VND ($238).
