Apple Watch rumored to launch in time for Valentine's Day

The Apple Watch could be released in time for Valentine's Day next year.

According to Digital Spy, Taiwanese website Apple Daily claims that mass production on the wearable will commence in January, putting it on course to arrive in mid-February.

Quanta Computer is said to be Apple's only manufacturing partner for the device, with the report claiming that the company has undergone mass recruitment to handle the project.

The Apple Watch was unveiled alongside Apple's new iPhones last month, but the Cupertino firm is yet to divulge a specific release date for the product, confirming only that it will arrive in early 2015.

Apple has also remained coy about the smartwatch's full hardware spec, with reports suggesting that it houses 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

This would put the device roughly on par with its Android Wear rivals, such as the Samsung Gear 2 and the LG G Watch R.
