Microsoft pits Siri against its Cortana digital assistant

Rivalry can be so catty, and Microsoft has definitely got its claws out in its latest advert against Apple, Digital Spy said.

This time, the company wants to show that its Windows Phone digital assistant Cortana is more capable than Siri.

Cortana, running on a Nokia Lumia 830, asks Siri from an iPhone 6 Plus whether she can give reminders based on your location. Of course, the answer is no.

Cortana - named after a character from the Halo video game series - also pokes fun at the iPhone 6 Plus's size.

It's not the first time the pair have been pitted against one and other.

Earlier this month, Microsoft hinted that Cortana could be released for other platforms in the future.
