Sony’s cryptic CES 2015 video teases Android Lollipop announcement

Sony has released a teaser video for its CES 2015 press conference next month, offering some cryptic clues about what to expect, Digital Spy said.

The footage doesn't give much away, but the inclusion of a child with a lollipop and a woman accessing floor five in a lift suggests that we're in store for an Android 5.0 Lollipop-related announcement.

It could be anything from the rollout date for the latest Google operating system on Xperia hardware, to the launch of an Android-based television set.

It has also been speculated that Sony could offer a first look at its Xperia Z4 smartphone at the event, although a recent leak suggests that the handset will not arrive until May at the earliest.

Other cryptic imagery on show in the teaser includes a chameleon, a time-lapse of the Paris skyline and a pregnant woman.

CES 2015 takes place in Las Vegas between January 6 and January 9.
