HTC One M9 benchmarking test shows how powerful it might be

HTC's One M9 smartphone has cropped up in a benchmarking test, shedding light on how powerful it is likely to be, Digital Spy reports.

Geekbench claims to have put the phone through its paces, learning that it sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 running at 1.55 GHz and 3GB of RAM.

The Android device, which is also being referred to as Hima, was assigned a single-core score of 1232 and a multi-core score of 3587.

By comparison, the upcoming Galaxy S6 scored slightly higher, notching up 1520 and 5478 respectively.

Numerous leaked photographs of the HTC One M9 have surfaced online, all pointing to a similar design to the One M8, with the omission of the DuoCamera.

HTC is expected to announce the handset during a press conference at the Mobile World Congress in March.

The Taiwanese firm is also expected to reveal a fitness-based wearable device that runs software from sports brand Under Armour at the Barcelona trade show.
