LG has announced the retro-themed Ice Cream Smart flip phone, Digital Spy reports.

The handset sports the clamshell design that was popular around ten years ago, but includes a touchscreen as well as physical buttons.

The Ice Cream Smart also features a Kakao Talk button, which grants direct access to voice chat via the Kakao app.

Flip phones have made a comeback of sorts in South Korea, where devices like the Ice Cream Smart are catering for the lower end of the market.

This is the second clamshell device LG has released in the last six months, following the similar Wine Smart to the Asian markets.
