Drenge grunge band confirm release of new album “Undertow”

Drenge have confirmed the release of a new album, Digital Spy reports.

The two-piece, formed of brothers Eoin and Rory Loveless, will release Undertow on April 6.

Undertow marks the band's second album, following the release of their eponymous debut album back in 2013.

Drenge have premiered the first track from the new record, 'We Can Do What We Want'.

"After 20 months of trotting the globe, we retired to McCall Sound Studios at the backend of last year to work on our second LP," the Loveless brothers wrote.

"We've got Ross Orton back in to produce and our childhood mate, Robert Graham, joins us for a couple of tracks on bass.

"The album is called Undertow and it's about love and loss but it's also about reservoirs and moors and a really great Arabic cafe near the studio.

"To coincide with the album release we have a UK tour in some really special venues, so please come along, or complain loudly about how we're not playing your village/hamlet/nan's house."

The band will embark on a UK tour in April beginning in Nottingham and calling at Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Norwich and Bristol before rounding off at London's Electric Ballroom.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday (January 30).
