HTC could be planning to announce its return to the tablet market next month, a report suggests, according to Digital Spy.
The firm has an event scheduled for April 8 in Beijing, where the HTC One M9+ is expected to debut, but it appears more than one unveiling may be on the agenda.
PhoneArena has got wind of a high-end tablet from HTC sporting an 8.9-inch glass display with a 1530 x 2048 resolution and a 16-megapixel camera on the rear.
The Android slate is said to be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Allwinner H8 processor, 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX544 graphics chip.
A set of front-facing BoomSound speakers will reportedly be housed in its 7.88mm-thin body and a 6700mAh battery will run the show.
HTC has not released a tablet of its own since 2011 when the HTC Flyer launched to mixed reviews, but did develop the Nexus 9 for Google last year.
