1st "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer lands online

The first "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer, that emerged earlier in bootleg version, has been officially released online by Warner Bros. Pictures. The video hints at community's devotion to Superman (Henry Cavill) on one hand, while on the other hand some people want him to leave earth, AceShowbiz reports.

"Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?" someone says in voiceover, while a group of protesters is chanting "go home!" There's also a Superman statue that has been spray painted "False God".

Meanwhile, Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor who is not seen in the video says, "Devils don't come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky." There's a shot of Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne looking at his suit, while his butler Alfred (Jeremy Irons) says, "That's how it starts, the feeling, the powerlessness, that turns good men...cruel."

It's unclear what causes the rivalry between Batman and Superman, but the former is later seen taunting the Man of Steel, "Tell me, do you bleed? You will," when they come face to face.

"Batman v Superman" will be hitting theaters across the nation on March 25, 2016. Zack Snyder returns at the helm. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman, and Jason Momoa will make his first appearance as Aquaman.

In other news, Russell Crowe who played Superman's Kryptonian father Jor-El in "Man of Steel" says he would be interested in doing a prequel about Jor-El's life before Krypton exploded. "What sparked my interest once I saw how Zack [Snyder] was creating Krypton, it always sort of went through my mind, I'd like to see what made Jor-El Jor-El, what made him and Zod legendarily, or folklorically, friends. What split them apart? The philosophy that spilt them apart. A prequel," he tells MTV News.

Crowe's character died in the first film and the actor has confirmed that he won't return for the sequel.
