"Captain America 3: Civil War" release date set

Stars and executives of the upcoming movie "Captain America 3: Civil War" have been sharing details on what to expect on the new storyline for the Marvel universe. Even hints for the future Marvel movies were revealed, MNR Daily reports.

Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president, revealed several details on the upcoming movie's plot. He stated that it will be a simple story revolving around two characters that are on opposite sides of a political argument.

In addition, he stated that Captain America will again try to save Bucky. "Can he save his friend? Can he turn the Winter Soldier back into Bucky? Is that even possible? While the Winter Soldier, from most other people's point of view, is the deadliest, worst assassin of the past 70 years," Feige said, according to the website.

The Marvel Studios president also spoke about the new Spider-Man's appearance on "Captain America 3: Civil War." It was reported that the studio was hoping to develop the "best version of Spider-Man" with actor Tom Holland, who is now filming with the "Civil War" crew as Peter Parker.

Along with Tom Holland, it was announced that British actor Martin Freeman will be joining the cast. While his character has not yet been revealed, he said: "You're not quite sure what side he's on. It looks a little like he's playing one guy when actually he's playing the other. It's the kind of character I love because it's ambiguous and because you don't know whether he's, you know, good or bad."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, actress Jaimie Alexander shared that "Captain America: Civil War" will feature insights for the third installment of the "Thor" franchise titled "Thor: Ragnarok." Alexander also shared that there were hints about the film in several other Marvel series and movies such as "Agents of SHIELD" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Although she also does not know a lot about the plot for the film, Alexander, who plays Lady Sif, did state that her character will play a vital role in the upcoming "Thor" installment.

"Captain America 3: Civil War" is expected to release next year on May 6. "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to premiere on 2017.
