Disturbed's "Immortalized" lands atop of Billboard 200

Disturbed's "Immortalized" has officially made its way out to No. 1 on Billboard 200. The rock band's latest studio album enters the chart at the top slot with 98,000 equivalent album units, including 93,000 pure album sales, collected in the week ending on August 27, AceShowbiz reports citing Nielsen Music.

"Immortalized" marks the group's fifth consecutive album to have topped Billboard 200. It follows their previous efforts including 2010's "Asylum", 2008's "Indestructible", 2005's "Ten Thousand Fists" and 2002's "Believe".

Trailing behind Disturbed is last week's first placer, Luke Bryan's "Kill the Lights". After spending two weeks at No. 1, the country superstar's album falls to No. 2 with another 67,000 units.

Dr. Dre's "Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre" keeps its position steady at No. 3 with 61,000. At No. 4, Kip Moore scores his highest-charting album yet with his sophomore set "Wild Ones". Debuting with 40,000 units, the record beats its predecessor "Up All Night" which peaked at No. 6 back in 2012.

Ed Sheeran rounds out the top 5 as his "X" slips from last week's No. 2 with 32,000. Rob Thomas' "The Great Unknown" gives the singer his third top 10 solo effort as it lands at No. 6 with 31,000. The Matchbox 20 frontman previously visited the region with 2005's "Something to Be" which came at No. 1 and 2009's "Cradlesong" that peaked at No. 3.

At No. 7, Taylor Swift's "1989" is spending its 44th week in the top 10 with 30,000. Swedish metal band Ghost is sitting at No. 8 as their "Meliora" arrives with 29,000. At No. 9 is N.W.A's "Straight Outta Compton" which plunges from last week's No. 4 with 29,000. The last spot in the top 10 belongs to the "Now 55" compilation that also slides five rungs with 27,000.
