Armenia, Russia agree to exchange nuclear safety data

Armenia and Russia signed on Wednesday, October 7, an intergovernmental agreement on exchange of information concerning nuclear and radiation safety in nuclear energy facilities, RIA Novosti reports.

Head of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko and Armenia's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan signed the deal.

According to the document, the parties will exchange nuclear and radiation safety data on a permanent basis, as well as take practical steps to fulfill the commitments assumed.
