Russian Rosneft buys Armenia’s Petrol Market

Russian oil company Rosneft has acquired Petrol Market, a network of petrol filling stations in Armenia, for $40 million, TASS reports according to ARKA.

The deal was finalized in August 2015.

Petrol Market owns a chain of filling stations and tank farms in Armenia.

Rosneft is the largest oil and gas company in Russia. Its main shareholder is the government-owned Rosneftegaz that holds 69.5% in Rosneft, another major shareholder being BP (19.75%). Part of the company’s shares are traded at the Russian stock market.
