Amazon Prime “to offer access to rival streaming services”

It sounds almost unthinkable, but reports suggest that Amazon Prime could soon offer access to content from rival streaming services, Digital Spy reports.

According to Bloomberg's sources, the video platform is planning to give subscribers the option to add the libraries of other streaming services they're signed up for to their account.

Amazon is said to have "major, well-known" content providers on board to launch the new feature next month.

The Seattle firm is reportedly in talks with other video providers to set up a system where users can log into other services with Amazon credentials.

Prime competitor Hulu recently did something similar when it introduced in-app access to Showtime content for those willing to pay extra.
