McDonald's refutes plans to open restaurants in Armenia

McDonald's on Wednesday, June 8 refuted recent media speculations suggesting that the fast food giant is opening restaurants in Armenia.

In the recent period, news emerged, claiming that Georgian businessman Temur Chkonia is opening McDonald's restaurants in Armenia.

Reportedly, Chkonia even confirmed to have received an approval from the McDonald's corporation.

"At McDonald's, we review and analyze various pertinent economic and business factors when considering whether to open in a new market or country. At this time, we have no plans to open restaurants in Armenia,” Communications Assistant – Europe at McDonald's Jonathan Coles told PanARMENIAN.Net.
