Russia's Putin signs package of anti-terrorism laws

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an anti-terrorism legislative package and instructed the government to work out measures to minimize possible financial risks associated with the new legislation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday, July 7, according to Sputnik.

"Today, the president signed a legislative package with amendments to the anti-terrorism law. Together with the package, a list of instructions to the government was signed," Peskov told reporters.

The government has been told to "very closely monitor the implementation of this law in order to minimize possible risks," according to the spokesman.
