Armenia approves construction of defensive wall near Azeri border

The government on Friday, July 29 approved the construction of a defensive wall along the road to a school in Armenia’s border village of Voskevan.

With a length of some 150 meters and a height of 2.4 meters, the wall will protect the area from the Azerbaijani fire.

Azerbaijan shells Armenia’s border communities every now and then. Situated near each other, the villages of Voskepar, Baghanis, Voskevaz and others have regularly come under Azerbaijani fire in recent years.
