Normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations is impossible without the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a meeting with students in Antalya, Ermenihaber.am reports.

"To resolve the existing problems, you need to be proactive.Defending one’s own interests is just not enough," Cavusoglu said Tuesday, January 22.

"Today, when the Karabakh conflict is not settled, it is impossible to ensure stability in the Caucasus and normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia. We will be more consistent in these matters in 2019."

Also, Cavusoglu accused the Armenian lobby of carrying out "black propaganda".

Meanwhile, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in December that Yerevan is ready to establish diplomatic relations with Ankara but without any preliminary conditions concerning Karabakh.
