Expert: ruble will be Eurasia’s common currency by 2016

Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Union may contribute to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, head of the Armenian Union of Local Manufacturers said.

According to Vazgen Safaryan, this implies establishment of a new institution to boost effectiveness of labor force and resource exchange.

Safaryan believes that ruble will be the common currency in Eurasia by 2016, given the fact that it is called “energy ruble”.

Besides, according to him, Eurasian Union membership will not hinder Armenia’s European integration.
