NATO to Station Peacekeepers in Region in Case Interested Parties Agree

PanARMENIAN.Net - It will be possible to executeNATO proposals to station peacekeepers in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone only in case all interested parties agree to it, Armenian Premier Andranik Margaryan stated, when commenting on NATO South Caucasus Liaison Officer Romualds Razuks statement on possible deployment of NATO peacekeeping forces in the region. «Settlement of the NK conflict is held within the OSCE MG and all proposals in this regard should be considered exactly in that context,» the Armenian Premier remarked, Interfax reported.

It should be reminded that NATO South Caucasus Liaison Officer Romualds Razuks had stated «the NATO is ready to deploy peacekeeping forces in the South Caucasus in case of need.» In his words, the Alliance cooperation with the OSCE is crucial in that respect. At the same time the final decision on stationing peacekeeping forces in the region should be made by the parties to conflict themselves, R. Razuks remarked.
