Tigran Torosyan reelected as Speaker of Armenian Parliament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Tigran Torosyan was elected as the Speaker of the 4th convocation National Assembly of Armenia. In the result of the secret vote held on Thursday in the parliament 112 deputies voted for and 2 MPs voted against Torosyan's candidacy with no abstainers.



Torosyan was the only candidate for the post of RA NA Speaker. The Republican Party of Armenia offered his candidacy during the first session of the newly elected parliament. RPA gained parliamentarian absolute majority during the May 12 parliamentarian elections to the National Assembly, "Novosti-Armenia" reports. Tigran Torosyan occupied the post of Speaker during the last one year of the previous National Assembly.
