Ter-Petrosyan: RA authorities not interested in investigation of March 1 events

PanARMENIAN.Net - During a meeting with European diplomats, Armenia's first President would welcome an independent investigation by international structures.



Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met Thursday with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg and head of the OSCE Yerevan Office, Ambassador Sergei Kapinos.



"The Armenian authorities are not interested in investigation of the March 1 events," Ter-Petrosyan said, adding that he would welcome an independent investigation by international structures.



Saying that his supporters are still being persecuted and arrested, Ter-Petrosyan provided the European diplomats with information about the detained.
