RA President fires Deputy Defense Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 2, Armenia's President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on dismissal of lieutenant general Manvel Grigoryan from the post of Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia, the RA leader's press office reported.



Lieutenant general Manvel Grigoryan, chairman of Yerkrapah union, backed former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan at the February 19 presidential election.



The RA Constitution bans military from engaging in politics.
