Defense and foreign policy priority issues for Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan introduced newly appointed Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to the MFA leading staff.

"I signed edicts on appointment the Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs on the same day, April 13. It's a coincidence. Nevertheless, it makes sense. I think that each diplomat is a soldier, officer and general of his country. The diplomat is responsible for security and inviolability of the state's borders. I call on our diplomats to remember and follow this principle," the President said, adding that defense and foreign policy will always be priority issues for Armenia.

Mr Sargsyan voiced confidences that the new Minister will use his skills for the glory of Armenia. He also thanked Vartan Oskanian for his achievements and voiced hope that his experience will help to resolve existing problems.
