  Armenia to send medical officers and field engineers to AfghanistanJune 28, 2008 - 15:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will send medical officers and field engineers to Afghanistan, said Samvel Mkrtchyan, head of the Armenian delegation to NATO."Armenia doesn't intend to send peacekeeping forces to Afghanistan, but presence of medical officers and field engineers is very important," he said adding that the Armenian mission will serve within a foreign battalion. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
