CSTO and NATO exercise to bring Armenian army to a new level

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to a plan of Armenian army reform scheduled from 2007 to 2015, the Defense Minister of Armenia is preparing for introduction of contractual system of military service, RA Defense Minister said.



"With participation in Rubezh 2008 (CSTO) and Cooperative Longbow/Lancer-2008 (NATO), Armenian armed forces will enter a new stage of its development," Seyran Ohanyan told a news conference in Yerevan.



He also remarked that Baku disseminates misinformation that Russia cut the quota in its military institutes for Armenian students and increased it for Azeris. "The Armenian-Russian agreements remain valid," the Minister said.
