Armenia interested in development of cooperation with Switzerland

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Wednesday with Christine Egerszegi-Obrist, President of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation, to discuss bilateral cooperation, the RA leader's press office told PanARMENIAN.Net



"We share European values and our aim is a modern and strong Armenia where the rights of each citizen will be protected. I am hopeful that establishment of Swiss diplomatic outpost in Armenia will promote our future cooperation," President Sargsyan said.



He also thanked Switzerland for recognition of the Armenian Genocide and appreciated highly Bern's balanced stand on regional issues.



The RA President also briefed Swiss parliamentarians on Armenia's position on the Karabakh conflict and the Armenian-Turkish relations.
