Having performed in Yerevan, Kalyagin came to the conclusion that the Armenian audience has missed the Russian speech, stage direction, dramaturgy. The play "Faces" is based on 5 humoristic plays of Anton Chekhov "In the foreign land", "Psychopaths", "Foot-dragging", "The culprit", "Diplomat" featuring characters, painfully familiar to Russian culture connoisseurs.
