Armenian Defense Ministry: Baku violates rights of Armenian captives

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian soldiers in the Azeri captivity are being subjected to psychological pressure and violence.



The conduct demonstrated by the Azerbaijani authorities is a grave violation of the international law, colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan, spokesman for the RA Defense Minster, told PanARMENIAN.Net



"The Armenian side has always secured rights of the Azeri captives and never prevented communication with relatives," he said. "The Armenian Defense Ministry brings to the notion of the international community and International Committee of the Red Cross that official Baku uses the captives as a tool of domestic and foreign policy."



On the night of February 28, three soldiers of the NKR Defense Army crossed the Azeri border under unknown circumstances and were taken captives by the Azeri side.
