PanARMENIAN.Net - Saying that the Armenian government has no pledging of security, Mr. Tevanyan also stressed that the government hasn't estimated economical consequences of opening the Armenian-Turkish border,' said the head of Politeconomy organization Andranik Tevanyan in an interview with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Being an advocate of liberal approaches in the economy, he however, treats opening of the border with Turkey as a very threatening event.

"What would happen, if one day Turkey will decide to open the border with Armenia? The first thing, really threatening us, that in 5 minutes Armenia would be subject to Turkish economical expansion. The second thing, using developed oligarchy in Armenia's economy Turkey could easily 'buy' our oligarchs, and Armenian political elite would appear in their pocket, " said Tevanyan.

He also stressed, that economy renounces borders and nations and capital has no motherland, which in this case can be very dangerous for Armenia. "The most important think for us should be the question of national security ", said the head of Politeconomy.
