ANC has chances to obtain 70% of votes in case of fair elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Authorities' pre-election campaign is just an imitation. They resort to any method, including government-run media, to prevent Yerevan citizens from thinking that the campaign has begun," ANC member David Shahnazaryantold today a press conference.

Authorities, according to Shahnazaryan, are well-aware that citizens' passiveness increases their chances to falsify elections. "In case of fair elections, ANC has chances to get 70% of votes, because 80% of voters in Yerevan are sick and tired of authorities," Shahnazaryan said, adding that ANC will do its best to prevent falsifications.

When asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent what steps the congress was going to undertake and whether its members would not breach the law by gathering near polling stations, ANC activist answered, "What laws do you mean? The 'laws' of Serzh Sargsyan and Alik Sargsyan function only for those who back them. As regards controlling police officers near polling stations, it is not a plan of actions; it's just a proposal."
