Armenians of New York shocked about possibility of Jolie's adopting an Armenian child

PanARMENIAN.Net - New York's Armenian community is extremely shocked to know that Hollywood star Angelina Jolie may adopt a child from Armenia. An Armenian child must grow up and be educated in Armenia, his native land, community representatives told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent. "By living in United States, he will forget his native tongue and native culture, especially in a family where children belong to different nationalities," they said.

Earlier, Jolie's office manager Geyer Kosinski told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent about untimeliness of making any comments on actress' intention to adopt a child from Armenia. "No information in that regard can be made public at present," Kozinski's office reported.

Jolie's decision is accounted for by the fact that child adoption process in Armenia is much simpler in comparison with other states.

The actress finds that an Armenian child will very easily get along her family's other children from Africa, Cambodia and Vietnam. Jolie's husband Bred Pitt does not agree to the actress' choice as he wanted to adopt a child from India.
