Larisa Alaverdyan: Hospitality must have limits

PanARMENIAN.Net - "When Azerbaijan representative Polad Bulbuloglu stated in Stepanakert that he knows no borders between his country and NKR, he had to be reminded in any acceptable form, that he's in different country. Instead we kept polite silence and smiled," Heritage Parliamentary Faction Secretary, Larisa Alaverdyan told a news conference today.



She also emphasized that at the moment Polad Bulbuloglu is not simply an artist but also a diplomat, officially representing a state which categorically refuses the right of Karabakh people for self -determination.



The fact that Polad Bulbuloglu crossed Karabakh border through Azerbaijan, calling NKR a part of his native country, proves that Armenia no longer dictates conditions for NKR conflict settlement. Larisa Alaverdyan believes that the weakness of Armenian position lies in the absence of clear concept on conflict settlement, which at times makes Armenia play up to "political melody" Azerbaijan is trying to thrust on the whole world.



When questioned by PanARMENIAN.Net reporter whether "national diplomacy", conducted indirectly could serve the interests of some third part, Larisa Alaverdyan responded that she does not intend to censure anyone, as pursuing interests in normal. "The important thing is that Armenia should have a firm policy to protect its own interests. Armenia's policy is still situational, though," she emphasized.
