Brazilian Ambassador presents his credentials to RA President

PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan has accepted the credentials of newly appointed Brazilian Ambassador Marcela Maria Nicodemus. Congratulating the diplomat, President expressed Armenia's interest in deepening relations with Brazil. Serzh Sargsyan enumerated 4 pre-requisites allowing Armenian to broaden bilateral cooperation. In particular, he noted that there are no divergences between two states. Beisdes, Brazil is a powerful country with powerful economy, both countries produce goods that may have demand in each others' market, and last but not the least, a major factor connecting two countries is Armenian community in Brazil. Mr. Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to Brazilian government for allowing its Armenian citizens to develop, while maintaining their national identity. "We are always grateful to those who lent a helping hand to us when we were facing hardships," President stressed.



Ambassador Nikodemos noted with satisfaction that Brazil was the first Latin American country to open embassy in the South Caucasus, particularly, in Armenia, and is determined to take practical steps towards developing bilateral cooperation. Ambassador called special attention to Armenian community's contribution to her country's development.



Parties agreed that good circulation between two countries has assume significant volumes over the recent years and stressed the importance of further work in that direction. President Sargsyan also stressed two states' effective cooperation within international structures and Brazil's balanced approach sensitive problems in our region.



President Sargsyan promised Brazilian Ambassador that she would get all state agencies' support in solving any problem, RA President's press service reports.
