Film about Armenian Genocide to be screened at LA Shorts Film FestivalJuly 13, 2009 - 13:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As a part of this year's LA Shorts Film Festival, to be held from July 23 to 30, the newest short film from writer/director Alex Webb, Hove (The Wind) will screen in-competition.The film features Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis (Moonstruck, Away from Her) as Zara and Armenian-American actress Shirleyann Kaladjian (A Dirty Shame) as Nina. Webb's previous work has screened at The Houston International Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, and has won him a Panavision New Filmmaker Award. Hove (The Wind) tells the story of two modern Armenian women whose lives are shaken by an unexpected encounter with the past, the Armenian Genocide.
