Armenian artist makes a bridge between Egypt and TurkeySeptember 8, 2009 - 19:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Anna Boghiguian, an Egyptian artist who lives and works in Cairo, comes to Istanbul with her series of more than 50 illustrations showing links between Turkey and Egypt. Boghiguian's works were created for the poems of the renowned Greek poet Cavafy, who lived both in Constantinople, Turkey and in Alexandria, Egypt. For her illustrations, the artist has done extensive research in Istanbul, home to both parents of the poet. Inspired by Cavafy's writings, the artist's collection of illustrations, along with recent additions, can be seen at Antrepo, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
