Many circumstances concerning March 1, 2008 incidents remain undisclosed

PanARMENIAN.Net - I find that Interim Parliamentary Committee's report inadequate, and hence introduce to you my conclusion concerning those developments, New Times party leader Aram Karapetyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

According to him, the conclusion does not contain the new documents and only analyzes the facts submitted by law enforcement bodies. «I introduce to you the first part of my conclusion. The second part - concerning death circumstances, as well as the identity of masked individuals and the measures required for averting such tragedies - will be introduced later,» Karapetyan stressed.

Politician also paid attention to the fact that despite the preliminary decision, Committee chair was unable to involve ex-President Robert Kocharyan, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, President Serzh Sargsyan, Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan and Head of Defense Ministry's General Headquarters Yuri Khachaturyan in committee work. «That's to say, the main participants in March 1 disorders were not questioned either by Interim Committee or law enforcement bodies,» New Times leader said.

At that he noted that March 1, 2008 developments resulted from falsification of February 19 election results. He also added that arms and armaments seized by police from Freedom Square in the morning of March 1 were demonstratively shown on air. "What's strange is that seized weapons were not used by demonstrators, and law enforcers were unable to find out who they belonged to. That means there were no weapons there, and all that was a bad show staged by authorities," Karapetyan stressed.
