Lusine Yernjakyan: Absence of information about plays lead young people to cafes

PanARMENIAN.Net - Republican annual theatre festival of young directors is an interesting field to explore works of young producers, director Grigor Khachatryan told a meeting with reporters on November 18.



"A lot of new names have been heard at this festival. The festival is an incentive for young filmmakers, and the Union of Theatrical Workers of Armenia helps them, " director of the Yerevan Chamber Theater Lusine Yernjakyan said.

After the performances Union of Theatrical Workers held discussion with critics and viewers. In particular, Karen Khachatryan , a director presented at the festival a staged "Dragon" of Eugene Schwartz's, said: " In my opinion we have no school of theater critics".



According to Grigor Khachatryan the tradition to dress to visit the theatre has revived in Armenia. Absence of information about theatre plays lead young people to cafes to relax, Lusine Yernjakyan said.



Republican theater festival for young filmmakers is held for the fourth time from November 08 to 18. The festival is organized by the Union of Theatrical Workers of Armenia. 13 productions of young Armenian directors were presented at the festival this year.
