Armenian State chamber orchestra continues its tour in the countryMay 23, 2009 - 16:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian State Chamber Orchestra under guidance of Aram Karabekyan continues its tour in different cities and towns of the republic assisted by the ministry of culture of Armenia. This year a tour comprising of 6 concerts started on May 8 in Vanadzor. The final concert will be given on June 5 in Gavar. According to Karabekyan, the rich repertoire of the orchestra enables them to perform new programs in every city. Although live classical music has not been performed by professional orchestras in many Armenian towns for more than 10 years, Armenian audience in regions is not less educated, than in the capital and is open to acquire the classical music. "Armenia's population should be first given the opportunity to touch high art, and after that nobody will dare to say that people need that anti-culture they are imposed every minute," Aram Karabekyan said.
