Michel Legrand shoots "Blind love" movie

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan will host joint concert of Michel Legrand and RA State Youth Orchestra under the guidance of Sergey Smbatyan. Maestro's spouse, famous harpist Catherine Michelle and his sister, Christine Legrand, soprano, ex soloist of The Swingle Singers popular vocal ensemble, will also perform at the concert.

"This is Legrand's first solo concert in Yerevan. Maestro was pleased to accept our invitation. One can't but note the influence his music had on the musicians of the whole world. Jazz art would miss much without maestro's music," well known Armenian jazzman Levon Malkhasyan stated.

Michel Legrand will soon start shooting of "Blind love" movie. "The genre is misunderstood in the world. Notre Dame de Paris, for instance, is not a musical, but just a song collection. Everybody is shooting movie these days, so I thought a musician could also direct a movie," maestro noted.
