  Nicosia Jazz Festival to feature Koharapayl Armenian jazz band June 23, 2010 - 20:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 26, Nicosia Jazz Festival in Stasikratous will feature Koharapayl Armenian jazz band, comprised of 15 artists. The band has performed in different countries, spreading Armenian music by enthusing music-loving audiences. Koharapayl musicians present the Armenian national and folk music, meticulously adhering to its origin, but with modern arrangements. Its ingenious orchestration gives a new vigour to Armenian popular songs. Their repertoire for the Nicosia Jazz Festival in Stasikratous promises to be a surprising release of diverse musical techniques where east meets west in a magically Mediterranean ambiance, Gibrahayer e-magazine reported.
