PanARMENIAN.Net - Theatre-X 4th republican and theater festival launched March 21 in Hrachya Ghaplanyan’s State Dramatic Theater. The festival was opened with a performance drawing on Juan Jose Alonso Millan’s play, "Potassium Cyanide, alone or with milk?" staged by Grigor Khachatryan.

In a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Mr. Khachatryan said, ''there’s nothing better than festivals. A discussion is planned upon completion of performance today. I'm a little worried, yet glad of the opportunity to hear expert opinion.''

The students of Yerevan State University of Theater and Cinema, well-known theater directors and filmmakers, as well as dramatic art connoisseurs attended the opening ceremony.

The festival is held under the motto Cultural Unity, Festival of Discussions. Every performance within festival framework will be followed by discussion, involving theater critics, filmmakers, actors, philologists and reporters.

Upon completion of the Festival in Yerevan on April 12, the event will be continued in Armenian regions of Kapan, Vanadzor and Echmiadzin.

Festival winners will be awarded special prizes at ceremonial closure due April 28 in State Puppet Theater.
