 Rafael Kotanjyan: true theater connoisseurs get old, all young audience needs is a show March 25, 2011 - 18:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A People’s Artist of Armenia, Rafael Kotanjyan shared his disappointment with the waning sophistication of the theater audience. “Many of those who come to theater today do not want theater performances. All they need is a show. True theater connoisseurs are getting older and fewer in number,” the actor said. “Today, many theater directors deliberately stage low-quality plays to please the masses, while the theater devotees have no wish to see them,” the artist noted with regret.
