Khachaturian Trio may perform concert series in AustraliaMay 16, 2011 - 11:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 6-7, Sidney’s Independent Theatre hosted the concerts featuring Khachaturian Trio, soprano Araks Mansurian and pianist Sona Barseghyan. Works by foreign and Armenian composers were performed during the concert, which was met with wide audience acclaim, a member of the trio, violinist Karen Shahgaldyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Before the start of Sidney-hosted concerts, the trio organized master classes for local university and school students. As Mr. Shahgaldyan noted, upon completion of the tour, the trio was offered to perform series of concert in Australia. The event was organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union Sydney Chapter and is sponsored by Avo and Jacqueline Tevanian.
